Public Schools curriculum, and to extend these resources
to every teacher, student, administrator and staff member. |

What Is The
Video & Film Library? |

We are a district office that purchases,
catalogs, and makes available for loan videos that support
all phases of educational instruction throughout the
M-DCPS system. A branch of WLRN's Division of Media
Programs.

How Does It
Benefit Teachers and Students? |

Programs are delivered
directly to schools every day.

Borrowing privileges
are extended at no charge to all MDCPS administrators,
teachers and staff.

On site use of
our videos puts teachers in control of the way a program
is used by allowing for: pausing a program to ask questions;
repeating specific portions according to students' needs;
using the program with several sections of a class.

Flexible booking.
Schools/teachers receive confirmation notices for what
has been booked for them.
- Our videos are correlated to the Sunshine
State Standards.

What Is In
The Collection? |

Over 7,000 videos
that support the full spectrum of instruction from pre-kindergarten
through adult education. The collection is continually
updated.

Our collection
is further organized by over 600 main and related subject
headings, and divided into subject catalogs.

On both elementary
and secondary levels we offer numerous series that allow
for more in-depth coverage of topics such as science,
mathematics, history, literature, and language arts.
As you explore the online catalog, you will find all
programs in each series grouped together.
